Career Opportunity: Maternal Child Health Worker

Location: Burns Lake, B.C.

Employment Type: Full Time – 35 Hours Per Week

The Opportunity:

  • Provide outreach services, pre and postnatal support, informing communities about the Maternal Child Health Program.
  • Provide services to clients supported by evidence, research, and multidisciplinary expertise on a wide range of health, social, and program-specific issues related to health care services within First Nation communities and CSFS clinics.
  • Carry out activities to support families in improving health outcomes for pregnant women and their families.
  • Facilitate workshops and information sessions, conduct interviews, intakes, and assessments.

What You Will Bring to The Role:

  • Two-year diploma in a social science or health science degree program required, or
  • DONA International certified Doula, and
  • Experience and/or training in Early Childhood Education.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $26.79 to $34.70. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred, or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
