Job description

Join to apply for the Materiel Porter - Materiel Management role at Island Health.

Reports to the Logistics Coordinator. Performs duties related to the distribution and transportation of hospital items such as laboratory specimens, blood, charts, pharmaceuticals, and medical and surgical supplies. Also responsible for moving equipment like beds, lift equipment, and medical gas cylinders. Completes record-keeping functions associated with distribution duties and performs delivery and cleaning processes for medical rolling stock maintained by the site’s equipment depot.

Qualifications:

• Grade 10 plus six months recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
