Job summary

A regional library in Brandon is seeking a part-time Materials Transportation Assistant to transport books between branches. This role requires a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Duties include lifting and organizing materials as well as communication with library staff. Flexible schedule approximately 3 hours per week. Competitive pay of $25/day.

Located: Both Brandon branches

Reports to: Director of Library Services

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transporting books and other materials between library branches:
  • Between the Downtown Branch and the Shoppers Mall Branch approximately three times per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday preferably)
  • Performing other library transport functions as required
• Boxing, lifting, and carrying materials to and from vehicle and library facilities
• Communicating with the Director of Library Services and other WMRL staff members when delivering materials
• Organizing library materials in preparation for transportation
• Other duties as required
