Job Responsibilities

1. Implement the Health and Safety Act and Highway Traffic Regulations for transportation.
2. Provide direct supervision and issue task assignments for all Material department teams and activities.
3. Supervise customer interactions, ensure delivery performance, and resolve any violation disputes.
4. Schedule and maintain detailed production plans considering capacity, material availability, and labor resources using SAP MRP and Excel.
5. Provide training, guidance, and problem-solving support for shippers, receivers, inventory clerks, material handlers, and lead hands.
6. Manage inventory, housekeeping, organization, FIFO, and stock rotation.
7. Monitor inventory levels daily to meet KPI targets and optimize inventory to balance demand with carrying costs.
8. Supervise shipping/receiving functions, material movements, and personnel to ensure safe and efficient flow of materials.
9. Oversee IMS/SAP functions related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse management.
10. Organize and optimize warehouse storage to maximize space utilization.
11. Coordinate freight activities with contracted carriers to minimize costs.
12. Identify and resolve operational roadblocks and develop improvements in operating procedures.
13. Perform root cause analysis and address arising issues.
14. Track production output against schedule, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions for on-time delivery.
15. Supervise and lead ECNs from the Materials department for smooth implementation.
16. Manage electronic transmission of customer documentation via EDI systems (Gentran).
17. Coordinate JIT pickup and delivery with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers in collaboration with Material Planners.
18. Supervise tracking of customer-owned and Multimatic-owned returnable containers.
19. Participate actively in daily and monthly employee meetings.
20. Lead physical inventory activities.
21. Establish window time controls on docks and methods to measure attainment.
22. Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and provide feedback.
23. Monitor manpower needs for shipping and receiving and recommend adjustments.
24. Report issues directly to the Manager.
25. Ensure compliance with IATF standards and all company and departmental procedures.
26. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or department manager.
27. In case of quality nonconformance, halt processes, follow non-conforming procedures, and initiate corrective actions.
28. Address customer concerns promptly and escalate as necessary.
29. Maintain environmental compliance per ISO 14001 standards and minimize risks of accidents.
30. Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies and legislative requirements.
31. Practice Kaizen principles and participate in related activities.
