Job summary

Algonquin Bridge Limited in Thorndale, ON, is seeking a hands-on Materials / Shipping Supervisor to lead yard operations and ensure safe, efficient material flow and bridge inventory management.

You will oversee shipping, receiving, and packing, coordinate ERP transactions and cycle counts, and promote safe work practices while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of shipping, receiving, materials management, logistics, or yard operations.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience in a hands-on environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and material flow processes.
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day yard operations, including storage, staging, organization, and material flow.
• Supervise and coordinate yard employees across shipping, receiving, picking, and packing activities.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP transactions, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the bridge rental program, including shipping, returns, inspections, and inventory readiness.
• Ensure returned materials are inspected, restocked, or flagged for repair.
• Maintain yard organization, equipment readiness, and material handling standards.
• Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule: Monday – Friday - 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM EST

We are seeking a hands-on Materials / Shipping Supervisor to lead yard operations and ensure the safe, efficient flow of materials and rental bridge inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day yard operations, including storage, staging, organization, and material flow
• Supervise and coordinate yard employees across shipping, receiving, picking, and packing activities
• Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP transactions, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate material flow
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the bridge rental program, including shipping, returns, inspections, and inventory readiness
• Ensure returned materials are inspected, restocked, or flagged for repair
• Maintain yard organization, equipment readiness, and material handling standards

Qualifications

Required:
