Job summary

Algonquin Bridge Ltd. designs and manufactures steel structures for bridge projects and is seeking a full-time Machine Operator for the night shift. You will report to the Supervisor and work to meet safety, quality and efficiency standards while collaborating with a small team.

Role demands experience with ERP systems, crane training, WHMIS, and strong English communication. The position runs Monday to Thursday, 5:30 PM–4:00 AM, with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system – Visual Manufacturing – an asset
• Crane Training, WHIMIS
• Capable of understanding processes in the departments
• Mathematical capability
• Proficient at using a tape measure
• Strength in organization and housekeeping
• Willing to work overtime as required and committed to doing what is necessary to ensure duties are completed.
• Strong oral and written English language communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities.
• Sense of urgency with excellent attention to detail.
• Must be able to wear and perform work in personal protective equipment (e.g. welding hood) for extended periods.

What are we looking for?

This position will report to the Supervisor and will be working in a manner to meet the safety, quality and efficiency standards for the particular job at hand, as well as working in a team environment.

We have 4 open positions - for the night shift - 5:30 PM - 4:00 AM - Monday to Thursday
