Job summary

A leading international provider in construction assessment is seeking a Materials Scientist to manage multiple projects and ensure quality service. Your responsibilities include researching construction performance and coordinating product assessments. The ideal candidate holds a BSc in Materials Science and has experience in materials testing. This hybrid role allows for homeworking up to 2 days per week.

Qualifications

  • BSc or above in Materials Science discipline (Polymer Technology, Chemistry, Materials Engineering).
  • Experience with Building Products OR in Materials Development/Materials Testing.

Responsibilities

  • Research and investigate aspects of construction performance.
  • Assess fitness for purpose of products within contract periods and price estimates.
  • Coordinate work and activities involved in assessments, including sub-contracting work.
  • Carry out approval maintenance tasks including assessment of factory surveillance reports.

Materials Scientist (Paints, Coatings & Waterproofing) - Herts / N London (with option of hybrid/homeworking 2 days per week)

A new vacancy for a Materials Scientist with a leading international provider of performance testing, assessment & approval services to product developers and manufacturers in the Construction industry.

The main responsibility of the Materials Scientist will be to manage multiple projects and prepare contract offers and estimates relating to the investigation, assessment, and approval of Construction Products.

In addition, you will be required to research and investigate aspects of construction product performance. You will also regularly communicate with clients, ensuring the maintenance of a good quality service and standards at all times.
