JOB DESCRIPTION

Park Paving Ltd. is a well-established, locally owned and operated company with 50 years of experience in the road construction and construction materials industry, and we are currently seeking a dedicatedMaterial Sales Coordinatorto support our materials sales efforts in the Greater Edmonton market area.

The Materials Sales Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Manager for Materials and Manufacturing. This sales position is responsible for material sales and customer service requirements for Park Paving Ltd., for the aggregate, asphalt, ready mix concrete, recycled materials, and soil cement product lines.

This role will focus on supporting sales volume and profitability goals and objectives and providing diligent customer service. Main duties will include project and bid quoting, customer relationship management, liaising with quality control and logistics to ensure a high level of quality and service, and providing real time market intelligence with timely bid follow up and tracking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clients and potential clients with quotations in a timely and expedient manner that meets both client and company expectations.
  • Work with business line management to carry out sales strategy for each product and market segment.
  • Follow the client pricing model as per the direction of your manager.
  • Generate sales of construction material products to all markets and contractors operating in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
  • Work with our company’s Trucking department to coordinate client deliveries.
  • Ensure all C.O.D. sales are collected in accordance with company policy.
  • Track quotations, jobs pending, jobs secured, and volume requirements.
  • Maintain daily sales call logs.
  • Aid in providing customers with technical product solutions to project needs including product performance and design, and sustainability solutions.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, as directed.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all the available manufactured products, and their potential applications.
  • Perform market analyses and tracking for all product lines.
  • Represent Park Paving Ltd. to clients, the public, and employees in an honest and professional manner.
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant customer service, or construction materials experience.
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, business or related field would be an asset.
  • Customer service oriented with a professional and friendly demeanor, a high level of communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective computer and relevant systems skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Results and detail oriented.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
