Materials Receiver - Primoris Pilings (Acheson, AB)

Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries. Our services include tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

The Materials Receiver is responsible for coordinating site materials and managing incoming/outgoing shipments. They will serve as the main contact for all materials-related queries, including freight information, shipment tracking, inventory, material requisitions, equipment requisitions, and shipping coordination.

Location: Various project sites; head office located in Acheson, AB

Travel/Accommodations: Out-of-town travel and accommodations will be provided if required

JOB DUTIES

1. Supervise the offloading of materials from carriers
2. Inspect materials for damage, overages, shortages, and compliance with purchase order specifications
3. Document and report receiving inspections according to the Quality Assurance System and HSE Program
4. Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials as necessary
5. Report shipment details to supervision
6. Ensure proper storage and maintenance of materials
7. Conduct periodic inspections to verify material counts, conditions, location, and status

SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of pipes, fittings, and valves
• Experience with “Bagging & Tagging” or “Kitting” processes
• Familiarity with formal QA programs
• Knowledge of HSE regulations related to storage, handling, and care of materials
• CSTS-20 certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively
