Job Description
The Scheduling and Raw Materials Planner is responsible for efficiently managing production schedules and raw material supply across multiple manufacturing sites. The responsibilities of the Scheduling and Raw Materials Planner span across all functions within the Supply Chain department, supporting project management, driving operational efficiency, and contributing to the overall development of Supply Chain capabilities.

When You Join Us You Will
- Work closely with the Supply Planner(s) to meet customer and business expectations by ensuring the Supply Plan and Master Production Schedule are met
- Manage production planning using the planning templates and JD Edwards, including intercompany transfers of finished goods for assigned product categories
- Review production plans, customer requirements, capacity constraints and network capabilities to develop efficient Production Forecasts
- Analyze raw material requirements derived from schedules, and understand capacity constraints
- Analyze key planning standards such as production rates, safety stock and inventory targets
- Produce reports related to Supply Planning, Scheduling and Raw Material supply
- Act as backup for the Supply Planner and lead the Supply Review cycle when necessary
- Facilitate regular planning calls with plants to improve efficiency, such as coordinating color changes, family transitions, length of runs and raw material coordination
- Lead IKO’s Excellence projects that contribute to achieving strategic objectives
- Lead cross-functional projects and assignments to improve performance in logistics, raw materials and customer service departments
Our Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain or a related field is required
- APICS or other forecasting/Supply Chain Certification are required
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) certification is an asset
- At least 5 years of experience in scheduling, demand management, capacity planning, and supply planning. Demonstration of progressive experience in the field
- A strong understanding of upstream and downstream supply chain processes
- Experience with large-scale ERP or planning systems is required
- Experience with JD Edwards is an asset
- Highly proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel, and data visualization
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Power Query is an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cooperatively across multiple functions
- Comfortable with team-based work structure
- Shows initiative and provides complete follow-through on responsibilities
- Strong organizational, decision making and presentation skills
