Job summary

Suncor is seeking detail-oriented Warehouse Management Technicians for a temporary role at our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The position supports day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring materials flow efficiently to aid maintenance and operations teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5 years of warehousing experience, a Journeyperson ticket, forklift experience, SAP knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5 years of parts/materials handling and warehousing experience.
• Journeyperson Parts Technician or Journeyperson Materials Technician; attach your Journeyperson / Red Seal ticket with your application to be considered.
• Minimum 1 year’s forklift experience.
• Knowledge of SAP applications to accurately process inventory transactions and access information.
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, pick, stage, and ship materials to ensure critical parts and supplies are available when and where they are needed.
• Operate warehouse systems and material handling equipment to accurately manage inventory and support maintenance and operational teams.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock control activities, and effective material stewardship practices.
• Collaborate with warehouse leadership and business partners to prioritize work, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ensure the safe handling, storage, and movement of materials while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Demonstrate accountability for training, competency, and continuous improvement while contributing to reliable and efficient warehouse operations.

Location and other Key Details:

• You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
• The shift schedule will either be 3 days on / 3 nights off rotation or 4 days on / 5 days off rotation
• This is a temporary position for a period of up to 12 months
