  • Salary: $120,000 to $175,000 annually (to be negotiated) / 40 hours per week
  • Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

Work must be completed at the physical location. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies on metal extraction
  • Develop processes and machinery for concentrating, extracting, and refining metals from ores
  • Oversee and prepare engineering technical reports
  • Supervise technologists, technicians, engineers, and scientists
  • Study properties and characteristics of materials
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Design processes for moulding, forming, and thermal treatment of metals and other materials
  • Conduct analytical studies, failure analyses, and operational testing; recommend materials and corrosion control measures
  • Coordinate production testing and control of metal refining, smelting, or foundry operations
Credentials
  • National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) accreditation
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.)
