- Location: Fort McMurray, AB T9H 3L1
- Salary: $120,000 to $175,000 annually (to be negotiated) / 40 hours per week
- Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
Work must be completed at the physical location. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities
- Conduct studies on metal extraction
- Develop processes and machinery for concentrating, extracting, and refining metals from ores
- Oversee and prepare engineering technical reports
- Supervise technologists, technicians, engineers, and scientists
- Study properties and characteristics of materials
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Design processes for moulding, forming, and thermal treatment of metals and other materials
- Conduct analytical studies, failure analyses, and operational testing; recommend materials and corrosion control measures
- Coordinate production testing and control of metal refining, smelting, or foundry operations
Credentials
- National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) accreditation
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.)
