Join Our Team as a Materials Testing Technician – Exciting Local Opportunity in Edmonton or Calgary!

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented Materials Testing Technician looking to be part of a fast-paced, growing company? Inline Group Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a motivated professional to join our team in Edmonton or Calgary. With long-term projects, you’ll have the benefit of being home every night while contributing to high-quality construction projects. What You’ll Be Doing:
  1. Safety First, Always – Take an active role in site safety meetings, follow all site-specific requirements, and lead by example to promote safe work practices. Encourage safety interventions and maintain a culture where safety and quality come first.
  2. Field and Laboratory Testing – Conduct on-site testing of various materials, including compaction, concrete, and asphalt testing. Prepare reports and enter data using both manual and digital reporting systems.
  3. Equipment Management – Maintain and ensure proper handling of materials testing equipment, including Nuclear Gauges, concrete testing tools, and laboratory instruments.
  4. Client Collaboration – Work closely with clients to provide technical expertise and maintain strong relationships. Actively participate in Inline Group’s ISO 9001 Quality Program and corporate HSE program.
  5. Technical Excellence – Support geotechnical investigations and instrumentation work while ensuring accurate and reliable testing results to meet industry standards.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Experienced Professional – You have 2-5 years of industrial/civil materials testing experience at an intermediate to senior level. A Geotechnical/Civil Engineering diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  2. Qualified & Skilled – Strong knowledge of Nuclear Gauge usage, field concrete testing procedures, and laboratory testing requirements. Strong all-around knowledge of soil types, conditions, and practical solutions.
  3. Ready for the Job – You hold a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record and are comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to travel based on project demands.
  4. Certification – CCIL accreditation in Type-C/HMA, Type-QF/QL, or CSA is an asset.
