POSITION SUMMARY :
As a Material Planner, you will ensure the timely flow of materials by aligning production schedules with customer demand and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, adjusting job schedules as needed, and supporting on-time delivery and operational efficiency in a lean manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Ensure accurate and timely release of work orders, especially urgent ones, to maintain delivery commitments and minimize disruptions
- Coordinate material planning and delivery to support uninterrupted production flow
- Manage and execute MRP messages daily to maintain system integrity and production readiness
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing obsolete and negative inventory through proactive planning
- Support kitting activities and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for material availability
- Partner with Capacity Planning to address production loads and support level loading or outsourcing decisions
- Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Track and report key performance metrics such as inventory accuracy, overdue orders, and capacity utilization
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to keep routings and documentation current
- Drive process improvements in inventory management and MRB compliance
- Champion lean practices, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support compliance with ISO standards, work instructions, and policies
- Contribute to departmental budget targets, including materials cost and labor efficiency
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing, materials planning, or inventory management in a fast-paced environment
- APICS certification or active enrollment (e.g., CSCP, CLTD, CTSC) is highly preferred
- Proficiency in MRP systems (e.g., Oracle), Excel, and business communication tools
- Analytical mindset with data interpretation skills
- Self-starter with strong ownership and ability to independently resolve discrepancies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements
