This exciting position will serve as Director II, Material Management on mid to large-sized EPC/EPCM projects.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Overall accountability for all activities performed by the team of both direct and functional reports if assigned as the functional lead for the project
  2. Develop with discipline leads and approve the Material Planning, Purchasing, Expediting, Logistics, and Field Material Management Plans and Procedures, coordinating priorities with Construction
  3. Develop and oversee the execution of a well-defined integrated Material Management Plan supporting the Construction Plan in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, including workshare and automation components
  4. Responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool to meet project requirements and schedule
  5. Oversee teams responsible for developing material requirements, specifications, and scopes, working with Material Control and Material Planning
  6. Develop sourcing strategies and prepare bidders lists per client requirements and business acumen
  7. Review, analyze, and negotiate Terms and Conditions based on Prime Contract flow downs
  8. Communicate staffing requirements to management for personnel allocation
  9. Oversee development of detailed logistics plans to optimize transportation costs depending on material or equipment transported
  10. Ensure development and maintenance of material management documents, files, and tracking reports
  11. Manage material and equipment at the construction site, supporting the Field Material Management and Construction teams; conduct regular site visits as feasible
  12. Coordinate with project manager, discipline leads, clients, and joint venture partners to align project objectives and ensure effective communication
  13. Maintain effective client relationships through service excellence
  14. Review and follow-up on reports to support fabrication or construction
  15. Prepare presentation materials for proposals and regional activities
  16. Uphold the highest ethical standards in Material Management
  17. Adhere to safety policies and procedures, ensuring safe work practices, especially when supervising others
Additional Duties
  • Perform audits on major projects
  • Develop and conduct training programs
  • Support Supply Chain with training, mentoring, and coaching
  • Assist in proposal development and strategic sales support
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
  • Typically over 24 years of proven experience in Project Material or Procurement Management within EPC/EPCM projects, with or without a college degree

  • Ability to learn and apply local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
Salary Range

151,500 to 300,500

Market Rate: The salary typically aligns with the midpoint of the range, influenced by qualifications, experience, location, internal pay equity, and market conditions.
