This exciting position will serve as Director II, Material Management on mid to large-sized EPC/EPCM projects.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Overall accountability for all activities performed by the team of both direct and functional reports if assigned as the functional lead for the project
• Develop with various discipline leads and approve the Material Planning, Purchasing, Expediting, Logistics, and Field Material Management Plans and Procedures, as well as coordinating priorities with Construction
• Develop and oversee the execution of a well-defined integrated Material Management Plan to support the Construction Plan in accordance with the Project Execution Plan including workshare and automation components
• Responsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedule
• Oversee and/or interface with the teams responsible for the development of material requirements including specifications and scopes while working with Material Control and Material Planning and/or internal clients
• Develop sourcing strategies and prepare bidders lists in accordance with client requirements and business acumen
• Review, analyze, negotiate Terms and Conditions, based on Prime Contract flow downs
• Communicate staffing requirements with management to identify personnel for staff
• Oversight and/or interface of the development of the detailed logistics plans designed to optimize use of the most cost-effective transportation services depending on the material or equipment to be transported
• Assure the development of material management documents, the organization and maintenance of material management files, and the production of material and equipment tracking data and reports, as applicable
• Assure management of material and equipment at the construction site to comply with the Field Material Management Plan and to support the construction effort; whenever possible and/or feasible, conduct regular site visits to support the Field Material Management and Construction personnel
• Interact with project manager, discipline leads, clients, and applicable joint venture partners to meet project objectives through alignment sessions ensuring effective cross-functional communication
• Maintain effective client relationships through client service excellence in execution
• Review and action planning reports to appropriate persons for follow-up to support Fabrication or Construction
• Prepare written or oral presentation materials in support of regional or business line proposal activities
• Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility
• Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and assure assigned duties are performed in a safe manner, and, if supervising others, assume responsibility for their safety and safe work practices


Additional duties may include:
• Perform audits on major projects;
• Develop and conduct functional training programs;
• Provide support to the Supply Chain Department by means of training, mentoring and coaching;
• Provide proposal development support by way of preparing proposal write-ups, effort hour estimates and assist in strategic sales strategies supporting Contracts Management;
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Typically requires more than twenty-four (24) years of related and proven experience (with or without a college degree), primarily in Project Material Management or Procurement Management EPC/EPCM projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Strong leadership qualities

Salary Range

151,500 to 300,500

Market Rate

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
