What You Would Do in This Role

A Material Management Coordinator oversees the flow of materials and supplies within a program, ensuring their availability for fabrication and other processes. This role maintains visibility and facilitates efficient operations, critical for meeting project schedules and deadlines. The candidate must be detail-oriented, solution-driven, and proactive in advocating for change. Ownership of the process is expected.

This role reports to the Procurement Manager but also takes direction from the Program Manager, Project Managers, and Project Engineers.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in material coordination, inventory management, or logistics is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Alberta energy capital projects.
  • Experience working in or closely with an EP company.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly and efficiently.

Attention to Detail: High accuracy in handling records and documentation.

Fabrication and Assembly: Basic understanding of Module Assembly, Pipe Spool fabrication, Structural Steel fabrication, and flow of materials.

Working Conditions:

  • In-office and at supplier/fabricator sites, with some travel.
  • Adherence to safety standards and PPE use.
  • Applicants must be in Canada; relocation is not supported.
