Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Material Handler in Oshawa to support dairy product distribution across Canada. The role runs 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM, four 10-hour days, with a permanent, non-seasonal position.

You will log work orders in real time, operate auto-palletizers, and coordinate inventory movement to cold storage or hot tunnel zones, while maintaining safety compliance and equipment performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in fast-paced production or warehouse environments.
• Experience with RF scanning for inventory accuracy.
• Familiar with GMP and WHMIS safety standards.
• Able to lift and move up to 20 kg regularly.

Responsibilities

• Log work orders and quality checks, update SAP in real time.
• Set up and operate auto-palletizer systems and perform routine wash-downs.
• Move inventory to zones, directing to cold storage or hot tunnel as needed.
• Inspect for damaged skids to minimize downtime and shipping issues.
• Adapt across stations to support a fluid production environment.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Oshawa. This role is essential to the seamless flow of our warehouse operations, directly supporting the distribution of high-quality dairy products across Canada.

Location: Oshawa, ON

Rate: $24.00/hr + Guaranteed Increases

Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (10-Hour Shifts)

Shift Time: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (Afternoons)

Responsibilities

• Maintain precise records of work orders and quality checks, ensuring all products are accurately logged into SAP in real-time.
• Set up, operate, and maintain auto-palletizer systems, including routine wash-downs to ensure peak equipment performance.
• Coordinate the swift movement of inventory to specialized zones, directing stirred products to cold storage and set-style products to the hot tunnel.
• Proactively inspect inventory for damaged skids to prevent equipment downtime and ensure high-quality shipping.
• Adapt to various stations across the manufacturing and assembly lines to support a fluid production environment.
• Uphold high standards of safety and product integrity by adhering to OHSA, GMPs, and Food Safety protocols.
• Partner with the production team to execute specialized tasks and projects as needed to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
• 2 years experience on Raymond or Crown Reach
• Proven proficiency with RF scanning technology for inventory accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective team coordination.
• Reliable basic math skills and the ability to solve practical problems on the fly.
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 20 kg consistently throughout a shift.
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and WHMIS safety standards.
• Possession of a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
