We are looking for Material Handler for our Scarborough(Tiffield) location.

  • Shift: Flexible on Midnight, Dayshift and afternoons. Should be willing to rotate or stay on a shift.
  • Wage : $23.16

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplies and removes material to and from all machines in the plant
  • Stock labels in racks and/or designated areas
  • Keeps outgoing machine lines as empty as possible to prevent machine shut down.
  • Keeps incoming machine lines as full as possible to prevent machine shut down.
  • Wraps skids when moving throughout the plant (as required)
  • Assist receiver whenever possible to put away incoming material
  • Assist shipper whenever possible to load outgoing material
  • Load and unloads shipping lines at all times
  • Always use PPE when required
  • Work in a safe manner obeying all plant safety rules
  • Report all incidents/accidents to the Supervisor
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Follow wall company policies as described in the employee handbook

Requirements

  • Secondary school education
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Is a team player and results oriented
  • Lift truck experience a definite asset
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a fast aced environment
  • Must have good attendance including punctuality
