Position Overview : As a Material Handler in the new parts warehouse, you will be responsible for material movements within the facility, as well as shipping / receiving goods to / from other facilities. You will ensure all moves are made in a safe manner and are properly recorded / input into the warehouse management systems.

Job Description :

  • Transport and distribute materials and goods
  • Receive, pick and stock orders
  • Effectively use warehousing software and systems to track movement of goods
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Pack and unpack goods
  • Install, lash, and secure goods
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Wage Grade 1 or higher
  • Experience with Reach Truck, Narrow aisle, and Picker Truck preferred
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize demands
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 40 pounds regularly
  • Basic computer / tablet skills; Microsoft Suite knowledge preferred
  • Preferred : Reach truck / forklift certification
  • Must pass fit testing and respirator fit requirements
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures
  • Note :

  • Static afternoon shift : Monday – Thursday, 10 hours per day
  • Future shift changes subject to Collective Agreement terms

  • Successful candidates will undergo drug testing, criminal background check, and medical assessment
  • Hourly Rate : $24.72 - $35.02
  • Union Membership : This is a unionized position governed by a collective agreement.
