Job summary

Finning is seeking a Material Handler for the Edmonton area to manage material movements within the General Salvage area, ensuring safety and proper record/input into the warehouse systems.

You will transport, pick and stock orders, load and unload, and move products using basic material handling equipment, while maintaining cleanliness and safety across the workspace. The role requires English communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher.
• Reach truck/forklift certification preferred.
• Must communicate written and spoken English effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Transport and distribute materials and goods within the facility.
• Pick and stock orders.
• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• Pack and unpack goods.
• Install, lash, and secure goods.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety.
• Some computer and administrative duties to support the department.
