Qualifications

  • Perform all shipping/receiving requirements, including packaging and shipping safely.
  • Maintain daily shipping/receiving logs and conduct cycle counts.

Job description

Basic Job Functions:


Engage in packaging, loading, unloading, storing, and transporting materials and products by performing the described duties. Responsible for on-time delivery and quality as it pertains to shipping functions. Ensures the correct SAP transactions are made for receipts and items issues in/out of inventory.


Education/Experience:



  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 6+ months of sit-down-forklift experience within the past 4 years.

  • Qualified Industrial Equipment operator.

  • Experienced with computer systems.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Experience with shipping/receiving documents.

  • Handheld scanner experience preferred.


Essential Responsibilities:



  • Follow EH&S policies.

  • Participate in SWATs.

  • Perform all shipping/receiving requirements, including packaging and shipping, safely.

  • Adhere to C-TPAT regulations.

  • Operate Material Handling Equipment; load/unload vehicles and move materials internally.

  • Maintain daily shipping/receiving logs.

  • Transfer finished goods ensuring pallet quality and integrity.

  • Conduct cycle counts and investigate inventory variances.

  • Inspect equipment daily, including forklifts and batteries.

  • Complete SAP transactions for receipts and issues.

  • Collaborate with departments on inventory discrepancies.

  • Maintain effective communication and team building.

  • Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures.

  • Act as courier if needed.

  • Use hand tools such as nail guns and air hoses.

  • Support 5S program.

  • Assist in production and other departments as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships:



  • Reports to the Supervisor, Traffic/Material Handling.


Travel:



  • No travel required.

  • Extended training in another plant (60-80%) in Ohio or Alabama may be required before start.


Estimated Salary Range:



  • $15.72 - $21.63 per hour.


US Physical Requirements:



  • Sit, stand, or walk for up to 12 hours daily.

  • Occasional stairs climbing.

  • Lift up to 58 pounds occasionally.

  • Lift up to 37 pounds frequently.

  • Push/pull up to 27 pounds occasionally.

  • Push/pull up to 10 pounds frequently.

  • Repetitive hand use required.

  • Visual acuity of 20/40 and color discrimination required.

  • May reach above shoulder and below waist occasionally.

  • May stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.

  • Must comply with safety standards and wear PPE.

  • Ability to wear a respirator is required.
