Dal-Tile Material Handler Job Description

Dal-Tile is seeking an intermediate-level Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading/unloading materials.

Pay Rate:

  • Entry Rate: $18.04
  • 3-month Progression Increase: $19.13
  • Plus $0.50 shift differential

Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM)

Primary Objective

Operate various powered industrial trucks to pick up customer orders and convey them to packing stations or shipping areas.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Perform warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy, inventory checks, restocking, labeling vendor products, maintaining displays, moving, storing, and replenishing materials, and conducting daily cycle counts.
  2. Handle receiving duties including unloading inbound materials, processing shipments, customer returns, and reporting damaged shipments.
  3. Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized facility, including sweeping, trash removal, and general maintenance.
  5. Follow safety protocols, report accidents and unsafe conditions.
  6. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
  • At least 1 year of distribution/warehouse experience.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience with stand-up forklift or order picker; no experience needed for pallet jack.
