Job description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our client’s dynamic heavy machinery equipment supplier warehouse team in Pickering . The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, locate, and store products within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. This is beginning as summer employment with the opportunity to work long-term.

Your day to day routine :

• Packing product into boxes
• Shipping products in a timely manner to customers
• Manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling and sorting
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Lead Hand
• Able to pick product from the pick tower

What you need to qualify :

• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to use RF Scanner
• Knowledge of safety rules
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to work overtime hours as required
• Able to commute to work by vehicle (driver’s license and vehicle required – no transit option)
• Experience with Hyster equipment is considered an asset
• A minimum of three years of Counterbalance, Raymond Reach and Order Picker forklifts with valid license

Wage : $24.00 / HR to start
