Job description

Job Summary

Use of motorized industrial equipment to load and unload trucks; transport and locate materials; pick and put-away products; replenish picking locations.

Primary Duties
  1. Operate motorized industrial equipment such as sit-down forklifts, stock pickers, and reach trucks.
  2. Perform daily checks of equipment prior to operation.
  3. Operate within standard operating procedures.
  4. Use hand-held or truck-mounted radio frequency (RF) scanners.
  5. Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  6. Maintain accurate logs or other required documentation based on job tasks.
  7. Follow work order instructions throughout the facility.
  8. Follow documented procedures accurately.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain a license.
  • Rotate positions and jobs as required.
  • Participate in department meetings and projects.
  • Meet safety, accuracy, productivity, and housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good math skills.
  • Timely and regular attendance; ability to work overtime if needed.
  • Physical ability to lift 45 pounds.
  • Working conditions include reaching, swiveling, carrying items, and speaking/listening; noise level is usually moderate.
Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent.
