Job summary

HERD is seeking a Material Handler to support our production team at 2168 Springfield Road. You will ensure parts and materials are stored correctly and available for assembly, while upholding safety and organizational standards.

The role requires basic inventory tracking, attention to detail, and reliable transportation. A forklift license is an asset, and on-the-job training is provided. This is a full-time, permanent position with room for growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a material handling or warehouse role is an asset.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
  • Forklift license (an asset) or willingness to complete training.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow safety and production standards.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written English).
  • Reliable transportation – HERD is not accessible by public transit.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure parts are properly stored in designated locations.
  • Deliver materials to the appropriate areas throughout the facility.
  • Maintain accurate bin locations and inventory records.
  • Perform pre-use inspections and maintain equipment logs.
  • Assist with receiving shipments and verifying materials.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other general duties as assigned.

Material Handler

Location: 2168 Springfield Road
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Starting Wage: $17.00/hour
