Job description

Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $22 per hour + Heavy lifting premium
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm EST
Location: Toronto, 2450 Stanfield Rd, Unit C

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safe and efficient operation of all power-operated equipment that requires certification
  2. Safe and efficient movement of Product (Including loading and unloading trucks)
  3. Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift
  4. Label and prepare items for shipment
  5. Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement
  6. Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
  7. Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items
  8. Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedures
  9. Update Warehouse Management System with the transaction
  10. Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
  11. Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
  12. Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
  13. Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  14. Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
  15. Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
  16. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  17. Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices, and work instructions (ISO standards where applicable)
  18. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required
  2. Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required
  3. Forklift experience required
  4. Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period required
  5. Basic math and reading skills
  6. Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  7. Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  8. Ability to work in a team environment
  9. Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
  10. Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights
