  • Forklift certification is preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Brantford team!

As our Material Handler, you will perform the physical and / or administrative tasks involved in the order fulfillment and manufacture, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with machine shop experience to progress within a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment with focus on quality and teamwork!

Prepare, load and unload shipments including documentation and verification

Process all material to include examination for damage, processing discrepancies, and delivery of material to stock rooms

Perform a variety of kitting and order functions

Contact carriers to pick up freight

Recommend process improvements to reduce future discrepancies

Assist with cycle count inventory

Utilize measuring equipment, dial calipers, gauges.

What You Bring

2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, with machine shop experience

Lifting, pushing, pulling 50lbs

High School or GED required

Forklift certification is preferred

Self-motivated, demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Ability to read job documentation and Engineering drawings

Previous use of common measurement equipment

Previous exposure to inventory management
