Job summary

Shred-Tech is seeking a Material Coordinator to support warehouse operations, shipping and receiving. You will move goods through the facility, coordinate inventory, and ensure accuracy using the ERP system.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years warehousing/manufacturing experience, Grade 12, and ERP familiarity (Epicor preferred). A valid driver’s license and RF scanner proficiency are required for this hands-on role emphasizing safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years warehousing/manufacturing experience; strong ERP knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of shipping/receiving and warehousing processes.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP is an asset.
  • RF scan gun experience.
  • Forklift/reach truck experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Self-start and able to receive training in new duties.
  • Know and follow safe material handling practices.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound part shipments and verify packing slips in ERP.
  • Move received parts to stocking locations; expedite as needed.
  • Pick, pack and ship parts for customer and intercompany orders.
  • Maintain warehouse bin locations and stocking standards.
  • Execute pick orders for internal manufacturing jobs.
  • Load/offload trucks/trailers as required.
  • Perform inventory moves using RF scanners.
  • Maintain a clean, productive warehouse area.
  • Support CI initiatives and contribute ideas.
  • Assist in annual physical inventory counts.
  • Follow all health and safety policies/procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. The Material Coordinator is the backbone of Shred-Techs warehouse operations. You will be responsible for the efficient movement of goods throughout the facility as well as shipping and receiving functions. In this role you will work with a talented team who’s MO is to provide exceptional service to our customers and internal business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive inbound part shipments. Verify packing slips and process receipts in the ERP system.
  • Efficiently move received parts from inbound area to stocking locations.
  • Expedite parts throughout the facility as required.
  • Pick, pack and ship parts for customer and intercompany orders.
  • Maintain warehouse bin locations and stocking standards.
  • Execute pick orders for internal manufacturing jobs.
  • Load and off load trucks/ trailers as required.
  • Accurately perform inventory moves and transactions using RF scanners.
  • Maintain a clean and productive warehouse and work area.
  • Contribute to department CI initiatives.
  • Voice new ideas and be an active member of the logistics team.
  • Assist in annual physical inventory counts.
  • Follow all company health and safety policies/ procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Experience:

3 - 5 years warehousing and or manufacturing experience. Strong working knowledge and experience with ERP systems.

Specific Skill Ability and Knowledge:
  • Advanced knowledge of shipping/ receiving and warehousing processes.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and principles. Experience using Epicor is an asset.
  • Experience using RF scan guns in an asset.
  • Former or current forklift/ reach truck experience is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Ability to identify actionable tasks and self-start.
  • Capable to receive instruction and be trained in new duties and responsibilities.
  • Know, understand and follow safe material handling practices.
  • Must have valid drivers license.
  • Must be able to work well in a team, communicate and contribute ideas.
