Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in North Bay is seeking a Service Manager for Match Eatery & Public House to oversee daily operations and guest experience. You will lead a high-volume dining team, drive events and promotions, and ensure premier customer service while maintaining brand standards.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in fine dining or equivalent, strong food & beverage knowledge, and the ability to obtain a Category 1 AGCO Gaming License.

Qualifications

• Three years supervisory experience in a high-volume, full-service setting or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable about food and beverage industry.
• Ability to draft professional communications.
• Ability to obtain a Category 1 AGCO Gaming License.
• Excellent communication skills, both speaking and written.
• Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, email, internet, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert knowledge of upcoming events, products and promotions.
• Ensure profitability by meeting financial and performance goals.
• Supervise shift operations and all staff/guest functions.
• Motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and guest experience.
• Participate in training staff on food handling, service standards and department procedures.
• Manage team efficiency to meet operational needs and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintains and demonstrates expert knowledge of upcoming events, products, and promotions.

Ensures profitability of restaurant operations by achieving financial and performance goals.

Supervises the shift operation, including all employee and guest related functions.

Motivates employees to provide excellence in service and ensures our guests experience exceeds their expectations.

Actively participates in the training and instruction of employees in proper food handling procedures, quality service standards and all other department procedures.

Manages team efficiencies as it pertains to the operational needs.

Responsible for opening and closing procedures which includes but is not limited to cash-outs and daily sales reporting.

Maintains compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsible for cash management activities.

Enforces Smart Serve and alcohol related regulations

What You Bring

Three years supervisory experience in a high-volume, full-service fine dining restaurant or 4-star hotel and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledgeable on food and beverage industry

Ability to draft professional communications

Ability to obtain a Category 1 AGCO Gaming License

Excellent communication skills, both speaking and written.

Working knowledge with computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, email internet navigation, and presentation software.

Experience with Point of Sale system.

High level of customer service skills, ability to communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction.

Proven to be detail oriented, reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities.
