This is afull-time remoteopportunity for candidatesbased in Ontario, with occasional travelto headquarters oroperational sites asneeded.
Accountabilities
- Provide specialized planning expertise and initiative leadership across designated master planning areas, supporting effective execution across the product portfolio.
- Develop and maintain executable master production schedules using finite-capacity, material-constrained, and resource-constrained planning principles, including sequencing, lot sizing, changeovers, lead times, and scheduling priorities.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities required to execute the master schedule, including material readiness, quality releases, production priorities, inventory availability, warehousing, and other operational dependencies.
- Lead capacity and constraint-based planning while identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve overall supply performance.
- Optimize the total portfolio by coordinating finished goods and intermediate inventory decisions across the value chain, considering their impact on key financial and operational metrics.
- Support strategies for the lifecycle management of SKUs and new product innovation.
- Serve as a business super user and subject matter expert for advanced planning applications, supporting planners and functional users with system usage, troubleshooting, and planning issues.
- Maintain and optimize planning parameters, master data, policies, calendars, and other system inputs that influence planning outputs.
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based planning tools, models, dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions to address business requirements.
- Use Excel, Power Query, PivotTables, and other analytical techniques to consolidate, transform, validate, and interpret large planning datasets.
- Collaborate with demand and supply professionals and supporting functions to align planning activities and drive effective supply chain decisions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing planning processes, tools, data quality, and overall planning capabilities.
- Travel occasionally to head office or operational locations for meetings or business requirements.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in supply chain management or a related discipline.
- Knowledge and practical experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and/or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Strong supply chain planning knowledge combined with solid business understanding and technical capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with demand and supply teams as well as cross-functional operational and business stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including independently developing planning tools, models, reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
- Strong experience working with large datasets, including Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, data manipulation, and analytical techniques.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise planning applications such as Kinaxis, Demantra, i2, SAP APO/IBP, Oracle, or comparable advanced planning platforms.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, dependencies, activities, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, change management, and mediation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to obtain, or existing certification in, APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
- Ability to understand how planning parameters, master data, system logic, and operational constraints influence planning outputs and business decisions.
