The OpportunityResponsible for managing day-to-day activities related to the maintenance of master data in the systems, with a primary focus on pricing information. The Master Data Analyst ensures that new record creation and existing information maintenance are done in a timely manner and follow Wajax's best practices.
The Role- Participate in Health and Safety programs to ensure our “Everyone Home Safe” initiatives are achieved.
- Collaborate with pricing and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely communication and interaction.
- Ensure price changes are entered promptly, ideally in advance, and communicate updates via email or postings.
- Execute data maintenance and creation to support business needs, including creating and modifying items as appropriate.
- Maximize data availability and accuracy, focusing on value-added information such as full descriptions, attributes, and cross-reference data.
- Make decisions within established guidelines, procedures, and policies, maintaining accountability.
- Perform regular data cleansing activities to maintain high-quality, up-to-date data.
- Remove or deactivate obsolete or discontinued items.
- Reconcile user-created items with supplier price files and internal systems.
- Ensure correct units of measure are specified for each item.
- Validate SSRS reports and collaborate with Data Analysts for revisions.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain missing data or documents (e.g., MSDS/SDS).
- Inform internal and external users about data changes, modifications, or updates.
- Support the implementation of the Infor/M3 system migration from legacy systems.
The Candidate- Education: Diploma or technical certificate in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistical fields. Analytical training preferred.
- Work Experience: 2-3 years in supply chain, pricing, or operations involving mass data manipulation.
- Knowledge: Bilingual in English and French; strong understanding of data control practices, integrated supply chain, and pricing concepts; lean and continuous improvement experience is a plus; general knowledge of industrial goods and equipment; strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency: Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Access, Power BI; excellent analytical and interpretive skills.
