Job summary

CGL in Canada is seeking a Marketing Specialist within the Integrated Marketing team for a temporary full-time 12-month assignment. This hybrid role requires English (French is an asset) and involves 2 days in the office.

You will support daily marketing activities and planning for the Group Home and Auto lines. You will lead third-party distribution campaigns, manage content and sponsorships, monitor performance, and collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to deliver campaigns on time

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing/insurance environment
  • Experience working with sales teams in marketing
  • Experience addressing B2B/B2B2C marketing needs and using media analysis
  • Flexible and able to adapt to new tools/trends
  • Experience building marketing strategies for yearly campaigns
  • Team player who ensures team success
  • University degree in marketing/communication (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and manage Third-party Distribution channel B2B programs and campaigns (online, print, social, email, events)
  • Plan, execute and monitor channel marketing programs and apply market research input
  • Ensure content creatives align to brand and briefs and manage approvals
  • Oversee sponsorship programs and events strategy
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Coordinate with Senior Marketing Consultant and cross-functional teams to integrate initiatives

As a Marketing Specialist within the Integrated Marketing team, you will play an active role in helping to support the daily marketing activities and planning initiatives for the Group Home and Auto line of business.

How you will create impact:
  • Facilitate and/or project manage all aspects of the Third-party Distribution channel B2B
    programs and marketing campaigns, including online (advertising and website), print
    (advertising, regional sales, and advisor/broker collaterals), social media (organic and paid),
    email, OOH, and events. This will include all or many of the following:
    • Development of creative briefs
    • Creating comprehensive workback schedules for all tactics
    • Gathering feedback and integrating or adjusting accordingly
    • Submission of translation, content, creative and compliance requests
    • Managing final sign-off and approvals using departmental processes
    • Proofing and testing of all assets
    • Vendor and contract management
    • Capturing and performing early analysis of program results/reports
    • Other one-off or unique projects as required to support a broad base of marketing
      programs of business unit requests
  • Take the initiative to plan, execute and monitor the effectiveness of third-party channel marketing programs. This includes making and applying recommendations based on ongoing sales input and available market and competitive research to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Monitor, review and manage quality of content creatives to ensure alignment to brand, target audience, program briefs and business/product specifications.
  • Manage and oversee ongoing sponsorship programs, including accountability for partnership marketing activities (events, marketing assets, content updates etc.), with a focus on providing key inputs into development of a long-term always-on events strategy.
  • Manage and monitor ongoing campaign performance and results, including accountability for ensuring distribution of standard reporting metrics with recommendations for review or improvement.
  • Close liaison with Senior Marketing Consultant, other Marketing Specialists, business stakeholders and other cross functional teams to ensure effective integration of new marketing initiatives into campaign scheduling, to achieve maximum awareness in the marketplace.
  • Organize and document processes and procedures across functional teams.
  • Responsible for the execution of programs within a set budget
To join our team:
  • You have 3-5 years of related experience in a marketing/insurance environment to understand the intricacies of product marketing, content creation and marketing analytics.
  • You have experience working in marketing and directly with a sales team.
  • You have experience addressing B2B/B2B2C marketing needs and using marketing media analysis to measure and improve planning and execution.
  • You’re flexible and easily adapt to new tools, trends and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have some experience building marketing strategies to guide the yearly development of campaigns.
  • You’re a team player who knows your job isn’t done until the whole team succeeds.
  • You have a university degree (marketing, communication).

Expected hourly range $32.3579 to $53.9295

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
