The Marketing Specialist for the Institute of Training & Development (ITD) plays a key role in promoting ISCT’s global training mission by driving visibility and engagement for its Workforce Development (WFD) programs. This creative and detail-oriented professional will lead digital campaigns, manage platforms, and develop content that amplifies ISCT’s training portfolio to global audiences. This role leads brand and competitive intelligence efforts to guide course positioning, messaging, and market readiness.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement marketing strategies that promote ISCT educational programs to both internal members and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with course leads to develop and organize impactful sales and promotional materials
  • Create and manage targeted promotional campaigns to boost global awareness and registration for ITD training courses
  • Coordinate and execute digital marketing activities—including email campaigns, website banners, Google Ads, and other digital promotions—to support course registration and program visibility
  • Leverage social media platforms to boost visibility for the Institute of Training & Development and drive registration for WFD courses, collaborating with ISCT’s Marketing Brand Manager
  • Establish and track target metrics to quantify and measure impact of marketing campaigns

Brand & Content Management :

  • Help shape and reinforce the Institute of Training & Development's unique brand identity-its look, feel, and core values, while ensuring WFD brand image is consistent with the overall ISCT global brand identity and quality.
  • Ensure all marketing messaging and content are visually aligned and consistent in tone, voice, and brand standards
  • Ensure key brand materials are ready for deployment at ISCT meetings (annual, regional, etc)
  • Position the ISCT ITD, Workforce Development brand as a global leader in training for clinical translation of cell and gene therapy
  • Web & Digital Presence :

  • Maintain and update the WFD microsite, ensuring content is current and engaging
  • Collaborate with the ISCT Marketing team to ensure alignment across ISCT’s broader digital ecosystem
  • Track competing CGT training providers to assess demand, identify saturation, and inform course differentiation
  • Analyze competitor branding and messaging to ensure ISCT’s offerings remain current, compelling, and distinct
  • Use internal data (e.g., registration trends, campaign metrics, learner feedback) to guide positioning and promotion
  • Support go-to-market decisions by aligning course visibility with market needs and learner expectations
  • Team & Administrative Support :

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing timelines with program delivery and registration goals
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the ITD team and broader ISCT staff as needed
  • Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree required with a 2-3 years’ working experience in a marketing role
  • Creativity with a strong visual and strategic sensibility
  • Graphic design and visual storytelling (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar)
  • Ability to conduct and present clear market research and insights
  • Proven experience managing campaigns of 6+ months using project management software
  • Website management and content updates (e.g., CMS platforms like WordPress)
  • Intermediate HTML / CSS
  • Experience with Google Ads and digital campaign platforms
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in healthcare or scientific applications
  • Google Ads Certifications
  • Google Analytics Certificate
  • Experience developing and presenting key segments and personas
  • 2-3 years’ agency experience
  • This position will be located at ISCT Head Office in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Candidates must be able to legally work full-time in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, work permit, etc.).
