Position Overview:
The Marketing Specialist is the driving force behind the comprehensive planning and execution of all marketing activities across our entire store network and online platforms. As the master planner, this role owns the full spectrum of marketing content, ensuring a seamless and cohesive execution of campaigns in a 360-degree manner. From coordinating the marketing calendar to overseeing content planning, media execution, and cross-channel integration, the Specialist will ensure that all marketing programs come to life—across in-store displays, digital assets, and eCommerce initiatives. They will be responsible for unifying brand messaging, aligning teams, and ensuring that marketing activities are executed flawlessly, on time, and on budget, ultimately delivering an integrated customer experience that drives brand awareness and business growth. A strong marketing acumen and critical thinking skills are essential for driving innovative ideas and solving challenges across channels to achieve marketing and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Calendar Ownership: Own and manage the marketing calendar, ensuring all campaigns, product deliveries, and promotions are planned and executed according to schedule. Coordinate with various teams to ensure alignment with marketing objectives and timelines.
- Content Planning & Ecomm Alignment: Oversee content planning for both in-store and digital marketing assets, ensuring consistency and alignment with business, marketing and category priorities.
- Campaign Support: Work with Sr Manager to brief and manage marketing campaigns end to end; support on execution of campaigns including photography and style out needs.
- Category Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for category teams, ensuring relevant products, promotions, and campaigns are consistently represented across all marketing channels. Build a strong rapport with category leads to ensure collaboration and partnership.
- Email Marketing Support: Provide input, approvals, and strategic support for email campaigns, ensuring that content aligns with broader marketing strategies and is executed accurately.
- Loyalty Program Support: Support the execution of PCO offers and promotions by managing content creation, briefing, and delivering assets to be used both in-store and online to drive customer engagement. This also includes planning PCO support across enterprise partners to amplify and boost awareness of PCO at Joe Fresh.
- Media Support: Support the execution of media campaigns, including providing asset briefings and ensuring alignment with marketing objectives. This includes managing campaigns for digital flyers such as Flipp and other media outlets.
- Asset Briefing & Execution: Oversee the creation, briefing, and delivery of marketing assets, ensuring they meet brand standards, are executed on time, and are aligned with overall marketing strategies.
- High-Level Coordinator/Intern Support: Provide high-level support to the Marketing Coordinator/Intern on managing samples. Also support any campaign asks, ensuring initiatives are well-supported and successfully delivered.
Qualifications:- Experience: 2+ years of experience in brand or media marketing, preferably in retail or eCommerce environments, with a strong understanding of both in-store and digital marketing practices.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across teams, including category management, eCommerce, media, creative, and sales teams, to ensure seamless execution of marketing programs.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. Comfortable with presenting materials and managing approvals from multiple stakeholders.
- Content Expertise: Experience in content creation, marketing asset management, and understanding how to align content with overall brand and marketing strategies.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all marketing materials are executed to high standards and meet brand guidelines.
- Marketing Acumen: Strong understanding of marketing principles, trends, and consumer behavior, with the ability to translate this knowledge into actionable strategies that drive business growth.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and develop creative solutions that align with business goals. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
