Job description

We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regional Brand Engagement, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering marketing campaigns that support the growth of First West Credit Union. They contribute to our marketing goals by creating deliverables across multiple formats and channels, including email (CRM), website, social media content, and paid advertising. This role works as part of a cross-functional team supporting regional and enterprise brand marketing activities.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content for email campaigns, website pages, social media, and advertising, ensuring consistency with First West's brand voice and objectives. Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain accuracy, clarity, and coherence across all formats.
  • Campaign and Activation Delivery: Review campaign briefs, understand objectives and target segments, and collaborate to assemble content, design, activations, and media tactics. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, suggesting improvements.
  • Project Management: Lead projects involving key stakeholders, develop business cases, communicate changes, manage risks, and document processes to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Post-secondary diploma in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in creating content for various formats and platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing components including content development, digital media, graphic design, and campaign activation.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), CRM tools, Adobe Creative Cloud, SEO, and digital analytics tools.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and compliance is a plus.
