MaKami College is seeking an innovative, results-driven Marketing Specialist with experience in brand positioning, digital marketing, and media buying. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will oversee marketing efforts targeting prospective students, current students, alumni, and the public.

In this role, you will drive high-impact campaigns to increase awareness of the college and its programs while highlighting our unique value proposition. You'll manage budgets, oversee agency relationships, align brand vision with execution, and collaborate across departments to enhance public perception and increase enrollments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning & Budgeting

  1. Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with MaKami College's brand identity and strategic objectives
  2. Create and implement marketing and advertising campaigns in collaboration with internal departments and external partners
  3. Plan, track, and oversee marketing budgets
  4. Manage media buying across digital, social, out-of-home (OOH), and traditional channels
  5. Negotiate contracts and partnerships to maximize ROI on marketing investments
  6. Manage relationships with external agencies, including digital marketers, media buyers, creative partners, and influencers
  7. Coordinate with the graphic designer to produce marketing and advertising collateral, including new program materials
  8. Support website updates, creating and publishing content to engage target audiences

Marketing Activities

  1. Work with the Social Media and Community Advisor to shape brand identity, foster engagement, and optimize reputation management
  2. Collaborate with event partners, sponsors, and community organizations to amplify brand reach
  3. Support the Alumni Coordinator with promotional campaigns and alumni communications
  4. Participate in marketing meetings to review strategy, performance, and new initiatives
  5. Ensure consistent brand messaging, positioning, and visual identity across all platforms and locations
  6. Identify market trends and opportunities to maintain competitive advantage
  7. Use data analytics to optimize ad spend, audience targeting, and campaign performance
  8. Execute local marketing initiatives, promotions, and activations
  9. Lead innovative marketing initiatives for both in-person and online audiences
  10. Spearhead marketing efforts for major events, promotions, and partnerships

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience (Either)

  1. A completed 2-year diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field AND at least 6 years of relevant experience; OR
  2. A degree in any of the disciplines listed above (or a closely related field) AND at least 4 years of relevant experience

  1. Proven success in brand building, campaign execution, and digital marketing strategy
  2. Strong understanding of paid media, social media trends, influencer marketing, and PR
  3. Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  5. Strong organizational and time management abilities
  6. Consistent, trustworthy, accountable, and reliable
  7. Ability to meet deadlines and handle shifting priorities
  8. Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
