Base pay range

CA$50,000.00 / yr - CA$55,000.00 / yr

About the Role :

Reporting to the Marketing & Business Development Manager, the Marketing & Pursuits Coordinator role will be focused on providing sales and marketing support. Heavy plans and builds custom, one-of-a-kind creative features and each project is unique in its challenges.

Primary Responsibilities and Process :

Social Media Management :

  • Own and manage Heavy’s social media presence across LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & BD Manager to develop content calendars, schedule posts, and monitor weekly performance analytics
  • Support the President with high-impact LinkedIn content, creating / scheduling consistent posts

Photography :

  • Take quality photos of our projects in progress at our Calgary workshop and finished installations at local sites
  • Maintain an organized archive of project photography for future marketing and proposals

Event Planning & Coordination :

  • Liaise with the marketing and finance teams to plan and coordinate company / client events throughout the year (company celebrations, trade shows, etc.)
  • Coordinate with project managers to prepare the office / shop for hosting clients at Heavy, ensuring a polished and professional presentation
  • Update / customize marketing collateral, including but not limited to presentations, brochures, client packages, proposals, corporate resumes, and digital content
  • Maintaining brand consistency across physical and digital platforms
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the sales team, including CRM updates (Pipedrive), research for clients and projects, and organizing corporate gifting and branded merchandise
  • Assist with CRM upkeep, updating and providing follow-ups as projects shift

Campaign Support :

  • Assist with the development of marketing / PR campaigns as needed throughout the year, including content creation, distribution, and follow-up
  • Provide support to the Pursuits team, contributing to new business initiatives and coordinating across departments to implement creative solutions.

Qualifications / Required Knowledge & Skills :

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field
  • 2 years’ experience in a sales, marketing or communications role
  • Strong eye for photography, with the ability to capture high-quality, engaging images for Heavy’s project portfolio and social media content
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license, for onsite photography
  • Experience managing social media platforms, including content planning and posting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign) is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Pipedrive is considered an asset
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities
