Job Summary: The Marketing Projects and Production Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all marketing and communications efforts for a large grant-funded initiative in the Continuous Learning Department, aimed at transitioning 200 mid-career professionals into the nuclear sector. This role includes developing marketing strategies and production solutions to attract prospective learners and employer partners through print, digital, and social media channels, while managing project timelines, vendor relations, and budgets. Additional marketing initiatives may also be undertaken at the department level, including coordination of updates to the CL website to support learner and employer engagement.

Responsibilities/accountabilities:

Marketing Strategy & Production

  • Develop and deliver marketing materials targeting both learners and employers using strong knowledge of print and digital production. This includes oversight of web marketing tactics such as paid media, SEO, and conversion optimization
  • Collaborate with the program team to create compelling campaign concepts and content across channels
  • Identify and implement effective communication tools, including social media, email campaigns, print ads, and trade show materials
  • Ensure brand alignment and consistency across all touchpoints
  • Coordinate direct mail or outreach campaigns when applicable

Project Coordination

  • Manage multiple marketing projects and campaigns with competing timelines
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to organize workflow and deliverables
  • Maintain up-to-date marketing schedules and ensure campaign tracking and reporting
  • Issue RFQs/RFPs, gather cost estimates, and obtain necessary approvals
  • Archive campaign assets and maintain clear documentation

Stakeholder & Employer Engagement Support

  • Work closely with internal partners, external stakeholders, and employer contacts to align marketing efforts with program objectives
  • Act as a liaison between the marketing function and employer outreach activities
  • Set and manage expectations with internal teams and employer partners throughout project phases

Vendor & Channel Management

  • Research and coordinate with external vendors for production and media placements
  • Maintain quality and brand standards in producing printed and digital materials
  • Source and recommend platforms or advertising channels for employer and learner outreach
  • Support implementation of paid search and paid social campaigns with internal or external teams, ensuring performance tracking

Budget & Reporting

  • Manage marketing-related purchase requisitions and invoice processing
  • Track marketing budget expenses and coordinate with program administration for financial oversight
  • Support reporting on marketing performance metrics for grant compliance

Required Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, paid media (paid search and social),content marketing, UX principles, and analytics. Familiarity with UX best practices and website content optimization is an asset
  • Ability to create engaging, brand-focused and aligned content using Canva / Adobe products

Required Education:

  • Three year Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered for this role

Required Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, project management, and branding, preferably in a postsecondary or corporate training environment
  • Experience in post-secondary is an asset
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working with external agencies/vendors.
  • Experience with Graphic Design Fundamentals

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools, social media management platforms, and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of Ontario Tech University’s marketing and branding guidelines is an asset
