Summary
Reporting to the VP Product Marketing, this role will manage and execute marketing operations and be responsible for marketing automation activities supporting brand awareness and business growth objectives. This individual will primarily be responsible for maintaining, proactively optimizing, and reporting on the company’s marketing automation campaigns to drive lead progression from prospect to sales qualified. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Pardot/Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement or similar marketing automation platforms and is well-versed in email marketing and demand generation best practices. Additional background in digital lead generation (for example LinkedIn paid ads and Google ads) and social media platforms (LinkedIn and YouTube) is highly desirable.
What you do
- Managing Pardot/Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, including lead management and nurturing, audience segmentation, optimization and A/B testing.
- Database management – entering new leads, assigned MQLs to sales, generating lead reports to help measure ROI.
- Forward thinking, proactive, and collaborative approach to managing automation campaigns, including content development, scheduling, and automation flows (build funnels and drip emails tailored to various campaign initiatives, prospect interest and manage lists).
- Refining processes and speed MQL process – know the conversion steps that past customers have taken and set those as criteria for lead scoring for appropriate leads, research ways to better target prospects with appropriate content.
- Managing and reporting on SEO and Google ad words program and budget, following the inbound marketing strategy set by dept lead.
- Prime point of contact with internal salesforce administrative staff to help implement process changes, tool integrations, and to better track ROI to improve end-user experience for sales and marketing staff.
- Track and report on key data and metrics to help monitor brand awareness and lead generation objectives using tools such as Pardot, Salesforce, social media platforms, SEO, Adwords, SEM Rush etc.
- Respond to requests for information and follow-up on issues as required from various departments in relation to email marketing and lead management.
- Other tasks as required.
What you need
- Post-secondary education with emphasis on marketing communications.
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing operations/demand generation role.
- Strong knowledge of Marketing Automation platforms (Pardot/Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement) and CRM (Salesforce).
- Strong knowledge of inbound marketing/digital marketing best practices.
- Strong computer and database skills.
- Highly organized with project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects while following strategic direction.
- Ability to meet specific deadlines and expectations for lead generation goals and KPIs.
- Ability to be agile and shift priorities and strategies as needed.
- Resourceful, problem-solving mindset and initiative to troubleshoot independently.
- Familiarity with the marketing and sales processes.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).
