Overview / Vue d'ensemble

ME-05 - Temporary Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).

Salary: $73,187 to $89,457 per year. Contract until March 31, 2026.

Location: Victoria Memorial Museum Building (VMMB), Ottawa, ON. Selection process number: 2090-CMN-25-OC-030.

Responsibilities / Responsabilités
  • In consultation with the Head of Marketing and External Relations, manage, implement, and evaluate marketing and promotional plans and activities at local and national levels.
  • Support the Canadian Museum of Nature's business units with marketing campaigns for their programs and initiatives.
  • Write and execute campaigns and strategies, manage paid advertising, support partnerships and marketing events, and lead marketing for the museum's signature Nature Nocturne event.
  • Consider revenue generation and attendance growth; assist with short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
  • Note: The job requires occasional evenings and weekend work.

Eligibility / Admissibilité

This position is open to all employees of the Canadian Museum of Nature and any members of the public who meet the qualifications below.

  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Education and training / Formation

Completion of post-secondary education with a specialization in marketing or related field (e.g., public relations, communications) or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Language requirements / Exigences linguistiques

English and French are essential. Bilingual Imperative: CBC / CBC.

Experience / Expérience
  • 2–3 years of experience in planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating marketing/communication plans, activities, and events.
  • 2–3 years of experience in developing, writing, producing, and/or coordinating marketing products across diverse media, including digital and social media.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and collaborating with internal and external clients on marketing projects and initiatives.
  • Social media experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Canva or Adobe suite is an asset.
