Duke Marine Technical Services Canada Inc. is seeking a part-time sales and marketing assistant (~20 hours/week) in Canada to support multiple departments.

The role includes maintaining social media, attending Boat Shows in Canada and the USA, following up on leads, and helping develop marketing and sales strategies. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to pricing, website content, and promotional materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop and utilize various social media platforms to enhance branding.
• Attend major Boat Shows in Canada and USA to promote products.
• Follow up on Sales Leads in a professional and businesslike manner.
• Be an integral part of the Company’s Sales team.
• Develop short- and long-term marketing strategies.
• Develop short- and long-term sales strategies.
• Establish vessel pricing with Managing Director.
• Develop a new website and promotional material with the sales team.
• Present and market the Company professionally to potential customers.
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relations.
• Coordinate sales effort with other team members and departments.
• Analyze the West Coast market potential.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
• Prepare monthly reports on sales status and risks, with proposals for improvements.
• Generate and negotiate sales contracts and specifications with prospective clients.
• Guide customers through vessel layout/design/build processes for new vessels or refits.
• Ensure quality and address non-conformities promptly.

Job Type: Permanent, Part Time (~20hrs/week)

Salary: $60,000-$80,000 CAD Annually

Your skills and capabilities will be utilized in a variety of tasks throughout various departments to support sales. Over time they may be adjusted to include task that are related to sales and marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, develop and utilize various social Media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and any other social media platform that can enhance the company’s branding.


• Attend major Boat Shows, both in Canada and USA to promote and market the brand and products.


• Follow up on Sales Leads in a professional and businesslike manner


• Be an integral part of the Company’s Sales team


• Develop short- and long-term marketing strategies


• Develop short- and long-term sales strategies


• Establish vessel pricing with Managing Director


• Develop with other members of the sales team a new website and promotional material, such as product brochure for the next model year


• Present, promote and market The Company in a professional businesslike manner to potential customers


• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relations


• Coordinate sales effort with other team members and other departments


• Analyze the West Coast market potential


• Effectively and efficiently communicate with other workers and management


• Monthly report on sales and project status, obstacles/challenges, evaluate risks and provide proposals for solutions/improvement/etc.


• Generating and negotiating sales contracts and specifications with prospective clients


• Manage and guide customers thru the interior lay-out, design and build process of a new vessel or refit


• Ensure superior quality of all executed work and report/resolve all concerns/non-conformities in a timely and efficient manner.
