Our client, a nationally known and well-established insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced risk placement specialist with leadership experience to come join their team as a Risk Placement/Marketing Manager. Responsibilities

  • Lead and support to a team of marketers and other business support staffby conducting performance reviews, providing coaching and mentorship, addressing issues and/or escalations promptly, and fostering a positive team culture
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including approval and tracking of staff vacation, sick days, and remote work, and provide regular reporting to leadership
  • Collaborate with the Director ofMarketing/Risk Placementon workflow enhancements and lead initiatives for continuous process improvement
  • Provide technical expertise and servicing support to the Marketingteam, including policy rating, contract reviews, insurer negotiations, and client meeting participation (more involvement may be needed with complex risks)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of commercial marketing/risk placement experience
  • Management experience of at least 3 years in a Commercial insurance setting
  • Experience working with mid to large accounts with high premiums/revenues
  • Solid ability to foster and maintain good relationships with various insurance carriers and MGAs, clients, and team members
  • RIBO license required, CIP and/or CRM designations are assets
  • Experience with EPIC is an asset
