Job description

Our client is in need of a Marketing Manager in Canada. We’re looking for someone who isn’t just a generalist but understands the technical space and knows how to build and execute marketing programs that drive real results. They should be able to work both strategically (big-picture planning) and hands-on (executing campaigns, working with content, aligning with sales). Someone with a can-do attitude, who is reasonably detail-oriented, but can also manage a team and empower them to deliver while still having a share of activities as an IC (the team would be 3-wide).

Qualifications

Must live in Canada

  1. Technical marketing knowledge – Understanding of open-source ecosystems / Linux, and infrastructure-related marketing. Not an engineer, but someone who can translate technical value into clear, compelling messaging for our audience.
  2. Sales & marketing alignment – Experience driving lead generation, demand generation, and campaign execution that supports revenue goals.
  3. Campaign execution – Can structure, launch, and optimize technical marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with business priorities.
  4. Content & messaging expertise – Knows how to position technical products and services effectively for engineering and IT leadership audiences.
  5. Process & structure – Can organize marketing workflows, ensuring campaigns are well-structured, deadlines are met, and the marketing function operates efficiently.
