Job description

Legends Haul is a Vancouver-based food manufacturer, distributor, and protein innovator serving some of British Columbia's leading restaurants, retailers, hotels, caterers, and foodservice operators.

Founded in 2018, we have grown from a local startup into a vertically integrated food company focused on delivering premium products, exceptional service, and meaningful partnerships across the food ecosystem. Operating from our state-of-the-art facility in East Vancouver, our team manufactures, sources, and distributes products that help our customers succeed while supporting local producers and communities.

Our core expertise lies in sustainably sourced centre-of-the-plate proteins, value-added meat manufacturing, and premium foodservice solutions. Alongside our wholesale distribution business, we continue to invest in and grow our portfolio of proprietary brands, including Chateau Water, WOOZA pizzas, and other innovative products designed to meet the evolving needs of consumers and operators alike.

At Legends Haul, we believe food has the power to connect people, strengthen communities, and create a better future. Through innovation, craftsmanship, and a relentless commitment to quality, we are helping shape the future of food - one meal at a time.

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager will lead and execute Legends Haul’s marketing function, building practical strategies that strengthen the company’s brand presence, support sales growth, elevate in‑house brands, and communicate the value of Legends Haul’s food innovation to restaurants, retailers, partners, and the local food community. This role is both strategic and hands‑on: the successful candidate will manage campaigns, content, brand standards, product launches, trade marketing, marketing calendars, vendors, reporting, and cross‑functional priorities while working closely with Leadership, Sales, Operations, and Product teams.

ABOUT YOU
  • A motivated, go‑getter attitude and readiness to take on the hurdles that come up in a fast‑moving day.
  • A detail‑oriented mindset with a willingness to go the extra mile to complete the task at hand.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving company where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Solutions‑focused, creative, and able to turn problems into opportunities for improvement.
  • Open to learning, coaching, collaboration, and growing with the company.
  • Inclusive, respectful, and kind toward team members, customers, vendors, and community partners.
  • A loyal brand advocate with genuine passion for food, local brands, and BC’s food ecosystem.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Marketing strategy: Develop and execute practical marketing plans that support revenue growth, brand awareness, customer engagement, product launches, and market positioning.
  • Brand leadership: Own brand consistency across Legends Haul, in‑house brands, product lines, customer materials, packaging touchpoints, digital channels, and events.
  • Campaign management: Plan, manage, and report on integrated campaigns across LinkedIn, Instagram, email, web, sales collateral, events, customer activations, and trade marketing channels.
  • Product and go‑to‑market leadership: Partner with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Product, and Leadership to launch new products, support seasonal campaigns, and strengthen product storytelling.
  • Digital marketing oversight: Lead social media, website content, email marketing, SEO basics, digital advertising, analytics, and content calendar planning.
  • Sales enablement: Build marketing materials that help Sales communicate product value, including pitch decks, sell sheets, product guides, customer announcements, tasting support, and account‑facing materials.
  • Creative and vendor management: Manage designers, photographers, printers, agencies, contractors, packaging support, and creative timelines while maintaining quality and budget control.
  • Market and customer insights: Monitor competitor activity, category trends, consumer behavior, restaurant and retail movement, and local food ecosystem developments to inform marketing decisions.
  • Budget and performance management: Maintain marketing budgets, track campaign performance, report results, and recommend improvements based on data and business priorities.
  • Team and project leadership: Provide direction to marketing support roles, freelancers, or cross‑functional project contributors as needed.
  • Event and community presence: Oversee trade shows, tasting events, brand activations, customer appreciation activities, and local food community opportunities.
  • Process improvement: Build repeatable marketing calendars, workflows, asset libraries, content planning systems, and reporting routines suitable for a growing company.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally with exposure to food, beverage, CPG, hospitality, retail, wholesale, distribution, or a fast‑paced consumer brand environment.
  • Previous experience leading marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, product launches, digital channels, or trade/customer marketing programs.
  • Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Strong ability to balance strategy with hands‑on execution in a growing business where priorities can change quickly.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, brand positioning, and communication skills for both B2B and consumer‑facing audiences.
  • Experience with social media, email marketing, website/CMS tools, campaign analytics, creative briefs, marketing calendars, and sales enablement materials.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics or similar reporting tools, email marketing platforms, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to coordinate vendors, timelines, budgets, stakeholders, and deliverables.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to connect marketing activities to sales outcomes, customer engagement, and brand growth.
  • Leadership, coaching, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across Sales, Operations, Product, and Leadership teams.
  • Passion for local food, restaurants, product innovation, sustainability, and BC’s food ecosystem is strongly preferred.

  • Extended health benefits for the chosen candidate and eligible family members.
  • Optional RRSP plan / RRSP matching, where applicable.
  • Paid time off, employee appreciation events, staff discounts, fun swag, and company events.

  • A fast‑paced, evolving business with opportunities to grow with the company.
