About Ezaki Glico:

Ezaki Glico, founded in 1922 by Riichi Ezaki, is a leading Japanese food company focused on innovation that benefits future generations globally. What we are looking for:

We are looking for a strategic, innovative, and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our team at Glico Canada. This individual will be responsible for building and executing both short term (1-year) and long term (3-5 year) strategic marketing plans that drive brand awareness, emotional connections, and sales growth. They will work closely with our teams in the U.S. and Japan, leading product development and promotions. The role also includes finding and managing agencies and will have one direct report (our internal marketing coordinator). This individual will work closely with our sales team to support their in-store retail promotions and supply chain to coordinate product launches.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and launch new products by leveraging market research, collaborating with R&D, ensuring regulatory compliance, and executing go-to-market strategies to drive brand growth and customer engagement.
  2. Create innovative, creative and cost-effective campaigns that foster strong brand awareness and emotional connections.
  3. Collaborate with sales teams to link marketing activities to sales goals and promotions, ensuring maximum impact.
  4. Monitor market trends and competitor strategies to identify new growth opportunities.
  5. Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation to maximize ROI and achieve team objectives.
  6. Coordinate marketing promotions with our U.S. team where possible, gaining approval from the head office in Japan when needed.
  7. Manage the internal Marketing Coordinator, overseeing day-to-day marketing activities, developing their marketing skills and delegating appropriate tasks to them.
  8. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of campaigns and product launches.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 5+ years of marketing (in-house or agency) experience in a similar industry (consumer goods, food, & beverage)

Compensation:

  1. Compensation will be determined based on the skill and experience level of the successful candidate.

Other:

  1. Flexible schedule: Some meetings will occur with teams in Asia so there will be meetings in the evening
  2. Remote Working if outside Vancouver, Hybrid if living in Vancouver.
