We’re seeking a Marketing Manager for our Toronto office. This role involves developing our business by showcasing the value and impact of Arup’s projects and people, positioning us as the preferred consultant in the built environment. As a senior member of our North Canada marketing team, you will oversee marketing activities for our Property, Science & Industry sectors, including proposal delivery, client engagement, knowledge management, collateral development, and strategic planning. You will collaborate with regional and business leaders to ensure efficient marketing and bidding processes aligned with our business goals.

The opportunity

  • Coordinate with sector leaders to unify marketing strategies and set goals.
  • Lead preparation of proposals, qualification packages, and presentations.
  • Develop client-focused win strategies with technical leaders.
  • Manage go/no-go decision processes.
  • Build and maintain client and industry relationships through participation in local events and organizations.
  • Oversee pre-interview planning, rehearsal, and presentation development.
  • Lead capture planning and market research activities.
  • Maintain and improve marketing assets and content, including project sheets and resumes.
  • Create new marketing materials like presentations and brochures to support our sectors.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to incorporate global experience locally.
  • Manage marketing activities and mentor staff involved in work-winning efforts within the sectors.
  • Ensure consistent quality and branding standards across all materials.

Is this role right for you?

  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Experience and knowledge in a related sector within Canada
  • 7+ years in the A/E/C industry
  • Experience with large-scale proposals and alternative procurement methods
  • Proficiency in developing marketing brochures and pitch decks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Design preferred
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and confident
  • Energetic with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications
  • Involvement in local industry organizations and market understanding is a plus
  • Bilingual in English/French is an asset
