Job description

Help Texts delivers grief and mental health support via text. We recently closed an over-subscribed seed funding round to grow our team and reach the $420B mental health market. With subscribers in 44 countries and all 50 US states, we have great momentum, a suite of clinically-sound products, and a scalable SaaS platform that’s ready to support millions of people at the toughest moments in their lives.

To drive growth we’re seeking a creative, diligent, and experienced Marketing Lead who can keep one hand in the soil and one hand in the stars. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about the transformative impact of text-based support and at the same time meticulous about ensuring that our social media posts, conference demos, and sales materials are thoughtfully crafted and impactful.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company that does a lot of good in the world. If you’re a detail-oriented big thinker who thrives in fast-paced, start-up environments, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Full time
  • Reports to the Chief Clinical Officer

THE ROLE

Help Texts’ Marketing Lead will work with our Chief Clinical Officer and Sales Director to drive B2B sales and engagement through Help Text’s digital channels. They will be responsible for creating campaigns and assets, executing all aspects of our social media and marketing strategy and carefully measuring our progress, analyzing data and metrics. To be successful in this role the Marketing Lead will excel at finding the best, most efficient ways to get Help Texts seen by B2B audiences who are excited about providing text-based support to their employees, clients, and partners, as well as by consumers looking for grief and mental health support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the sales team with the development of sales materials and social media campaigns that support our sales strategy
  • Become an expert in the habits, trends and behaviors of our organizational clients as well as the consumers who purchase individual subscriptions
  • Manage the Help Texts website, online advertising campaigns, affiliate marketing, and SEO/SEM
  • Build online lead generation strategies
  • Track and report out on all efforts, analyzing site and customer data to continuously drive results
  • Build and manage a live calendar of virtual and in person events
  • Prepare conference and speaking engagement materials and occasionally join the sales team at live events
  • Manage PR inbounds and manage media mentions and appearances that align with our sales and marketing strategy.
  • Create interview prep sheets, materials and decks to help the team prepare for speaking engagements and interviews

WHAT YOU BRING

You're equally comfortable brainstorming with sales teams and hammering out social media posts as you are talking about challenging topics such as death and dying. You combine strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail, and you're passionate about using technology to improve access to grief and mental health support. You have:

  • 3+ years experience in marketing
  • Exemplary interpersonal and written communication skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset, with a bias to action
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Experience executing and/or managing a website
  • Experience executing and/or managing social media channels
  • Experience with SEO/SEM
  • Robust expertise in FB Ads, Google Ads, and Google Analytics, and experience crunching the numbers to understand and improve CAC and other KPIs
  • Video editing and graphic design skills with a strong hands-on knowledge of Canva, and other design tools
  • Interest or expertise in bereavement and/or mental health
  • Must have social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn

TRAITS

  • Flexible. You adapt quickly to new situations and are happy to change focus unexpectedly and frequently.
  • Empathetic. We work with people who are grieving and vulnerable, AND in a start-up environment where people are moving quickly, so your empathy and listening skills will help you to avoid making assumptions and remain person-centered at all times.
  • Resilient. You ask questions when you don’t know the answer, share when you’re stuck, and gracefully receive and learn from direct feedback, knowing this will help you build new skills and contribute even more to the team’s success.
  • Proactive and self-directed. You are a creative problem solver and like coming up with solutions to problems versus having a clear process to follow.
  • Curious. You are happiest when you’re learning new things and come to every meeting and conversation having already researched and thought about what you can learn and contribute.
  • Collaborative and able to harmonize. You enjoy people and teams, always recognizing that there we’ll move faster together than alone.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits
  • Generous PTO
  • Lots of growth and learning opportunities
  • Opportunity to drive meaningful social impact and help people
  • Chance to get in on the ground floor of a fast growing company
