Position Summary
The Graphic Design & Content Creation Coordinator will be responsible for developing high-quality visual and digital content that represents the Merani Hotel Group’s brand standards across all hotel and restaurant properties. This dual-role position will focus on
graphic design and
social media content creation, combining creative vision with marketing strategy to support promotions, events, campaigns, and the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Create and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels (blog posts, e-blasts, website content, social media content)
- Update and design print and digital marketing materials including:
- Menus (food, drink, and special promotions)
- Table tents
- Event flyers
- Sales Tools
- Internal staff materials
- Social media graphics and digital ads
- Ensure all creative content aligns with MHG brand standards and seasonal campaigns
- Support design needs for special events and activations across hotel and restaurant properties
Content Creation
- Develop and schedule engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and Google Local for all MHG properties
- Capture original on-site photo and video content of hotel, restaurant, spa, and event spaces
- Create and edit short-form video content (Reels) using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere
- Manage and execute paid social ad campaigns to promote local promotions and offerings
- Collaborate with third-party content creators and influencers
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic messaging
- Monitor social media trends and competitor content to keep MHG ahead of the curve
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Working knowledge of CapCut or similar video editing software
- Comfortable with WordPress backend editing
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and MailChimp
- Excellent written and visual communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Creative thinker who can translate marketing objectives into compelling design and content
Additional Assets
- Experience in the hospitality or food & beverage industry
- Familiarity with Niagara tourism and local events
- Basic photography or DSLR/video camera knowledge
