Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation is seeking a Marketing Copywriter to play a key role in developing high-quality content that supports fundraising, marketing, donor engagement, and Foundation priorities. This position is responsible for creating compelling written materials that engage audiences, inspire action, and support the Foundation's fundraising and marketing objectives.
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications, you will lead the development of content across a variety of channels, including fundraising campaigns, donor communications, impact reports, case statements, web content, digital marketing, event materials, and other marketing materials. You will serve as the Foundation's primary website content lead, ensuring online content remains accurate, current, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities. As the Foundation's lead marketing editor, you will ensure content is clear, accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational messaging, brand standards, and editorial best practices.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across development, community giving, events, marketing, and leadership groups, you will create audience-specific messaging that supports donor acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition activities. You will partner with stakeholders across the Foundation to develop content that advances organizational goals, supports donor relations initiatives, and strengthens the effectiveness of fundraising and marketing efforts.
This role requires someone who can successfully manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and high-quality work. You will oversee content development from concept through completion, coordinate editorial schedules, contribute to campaign planning, and identify opportunities to improve content processes and efficiencies across the organization. By monitoring audience engagement and content performance, you will help optimize messaging and contribute to effective fundraising and marketing outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and editor with strong project management abilities, sound judgment, and a passion for developing content that drives engagement and supports organizational objectives.
